Thank you, SCIENCE4PEACE !
Dear SCIENCE4PEACE participants,
We are enormously thankful to you all for joining us at the SCIENCE4PEACE event, which took place in Stockholm during the famous Nobel week - a hectic week normally and, of course, in these times of war, virus and economic hardship, almost against all odds to carry out. But we sure did it - with some outstanding presentations and forecasts of "The Future of Healthcare'' by our International SALSS Family experts, followed by a magnificent Gala Celebration at the Swedish History Museum, attended by several Nobel Laureates, including this year's Peace Prize winner, Oleksandra Romantsova who kindly presented our own prize - The Knotted Gun - to Anastasiia Klonova. Moreover, we were entertained by future super star Ukrainian Maria Sur.
The overall support of this event by some in the SALSS Family was outstanding and I want to personally send an extra Tack to Tim Opler, Håkan Björklund, Yuval Binur - who saved the day when Emmanuelle Charpentier unexpectedly backed out. A heartfelt thank you also to Gunilla Osswald, David Levinger, Sana Alajmovic and our new moderator - Björn Arvidsson.
Additionally, we were pleased to have the chairman of The Galien Foundation, Bruno Cohen, not only supporting us, but flying in from his summit in Africa to join us. As the first event in Scandinavia to uphold Science Diplomacy, we attempted, at least symbolically, to give direct support to the long-term symbiosis of science in Ukraine with its International community.
Now we pray for a better 2023!
With Warmest Regards,
